Our Educare curriculum is Montessori and Curriculum Assessment and Policy Statement (CAPS) aligned to ensure that a planned, stimulating and nurturing educational environment is provided for children’s formative academic years. The CAPS is the prescribed curriculum administered through all government schools. The Montessori pedagogy is a method of education that is based on self-directed activity, hands-on learning and collaborative play. In Montessori classrooms children make creative choices in their learning while the classroom and teacher offer age appropriate activities to guide the process. Children work in groups and individually to discover their maximum potential.
We strive to incorporate these innovative teaching methods in our programming to provide educational programming aligned with Islamic and Qur’an teaching to ensure that children have attained a level of educational and spiritual teaching in their formative years. The ratio for academic/Islamic teaching is 1:1.
Additionally, we utilize innovative teaching methods including: rote-method (non-textual teaching); Qur’an readiness and; phonetic teaching methods or approaches to introduce the Arabic alphabetic and Qur’an memorization/recitation.
